The HarborWalk Village in Destin is about 5 miles away from the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island, separated by the gorgeous Gulf Islands National Seashore. With that being said, it is important to consider traffic when traveling from one city to the next, as it can be hectic during the spring and summer months. During peak season, it can sometimes take 30 minutes, or longer, to get from Fort Walton Beach to Destin.
